Executive

I am a seasoned technology professional with over a decade of experience in the industry. I started my career as a software engineer and have since climbed the ranks to become CTO and CIO.

I have sharpened my technical and leadership skills through challenging experiences and transformational changes initiation and leading up to completion always in international and hybrid remote environment.

My passion for technology and my drive to continuously learn and improve have helped me become a well-rounded and versatile executive, capable of leading teams and driving growth in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

I worked in France from 2010 to 2015 and am now based in Portugal since 2015, always working for international groups.

La Redoute Transformation

I had the opportunity to be part of the transformation of La Redoute through three main phases of evolution and business cycles:

  1. Decline” from 2010 to 2014 : the company was moving out of the group Redcats itself part of the holding PPR that became Kering. Cost cutting initiatives, politics, complex governance between brands existed, ultimately leading La Redoute to live outside of the group with significant debts of all types such as fincancial, organizational, and technical.
  2. “Rebirth” from 2014 to 2019 : the company was now by itself with about 600m€ of annual turnover but -50m€ of negative EBITDA, with 4 years to transform or die. Significant transformation took place like the unification of International & French IS organizations, new warehouses, rebuild of the core Product, OMS, and payment systems, an accelerated transition out of Mainframe systems, and adoption of Agile, Lean and DevOps practices. A key result was moving from less than 50% to 96% of e-commerce sales.
  3. “Growth” from 2019 : La Redoute was back go a financial equilibrium and from there with positive EBITDA of multiple millions. New products, services, and customer renewal took place with initiatives such furnitures with internal brand weighting to more than 50% of the sales volume and profits, B2B selling, reopen more than 50 stores, drop-shipping and on-demand production models.

The continuous dynamic of transformation of La Redoute kept my interests over-time with a start-up environment of low politics, intrapreneurship, and opportunities to growth as a technology professional.

I was part of the leadership team since 2018, contributing as key technology stakeholders jointly with the CIO of business transformation. I was also naturally acting as technology ambassador of the company.
